Olin Kreutz Walks Away From The Saints, Just Doesn’t Love Football Anymore
Olin Kreutz is a deserter. As a Chicago Bear, Kreutz made 6 Pro Bowls before leaving this summer for New Orleans. As a Saint, Kreutz received a $2 million contract and got to feel Drew Brees’ hands between his legs. Kreutz started the first three games of the season before suffering a knee injury. At 34-years-old, Kreutz isn’t willing to work his way back to the lineup.
His agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Friday the 34-year-old Kreutz “has to feel really good about the passion he has got for the game and the love he has got for the game.” Bartelstein says Kreutz felt that slipping away and “he’s just not someone who can go to work every week and collect a paycheck.”
Kreutz also said that Brees just doesn’t smell the same as Jay Cutler. He was last seen buying an expensive sports car and dying streaks in his hair.
