But where should you start? Here are 5 must-see photo ops throughout the canyon. Horseshoe Bend Drive north of the Grand Canyon towards Glen Canyon to find one of the most photographed stretches of the Colorado River. The early afternoon is the best time to photograph this spot as sunlight fills and reflects off the rock walls. Cape Royal Trail Located on the Grand Canyon’s North Rim, Cape Royal can be accessed via the Cape Royal Trail. You can also take the scenic route through Cape Royal Drive to see more views of the Canyon. Toroweap Point This view puts you 3,000 feet over the Colorado River. Make sure you have an SUV with sturdy tires to tackle the treacherous road leading up to the point. South Rim Although often more crowded than the North Rim, the South Rim has incredible panoramic views of the Canyons. Make sure to check out Pipe Creek Vista and Yavapai Point. Havasupai Falls Thought the Canyon was only rocks and sand? Havasupai Falls features red rock walls and deep blue water.
