Not All Heroes Wear Capes (26 Photos)

Being a first responder is in their blood. Like many who serve on the front lines, they’ve witnessed tragedy, heartbreak, helplessness and disbelief. They’ve been frustrated more often than they’d like to admit, and there are days that, like all of you, they’re left asking “why?”

But, with each bout of frustration comes a renewed sense of commitment to their life work. They remind themselves and their team members that even though first responders can’t change the course of an event, their intervention helps things turn out for the better. All of our nation’s defenders, including firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and law enforcement, can find comfort in knowing that they protect America’s communities as best as they humanly can. I encourage you to pause and say “thank you” to those who, without fail, show up.

Bacon is always the answer. Currently working towards an MBA with an emphasis in fantasy football. I have friends in spite of myself. Probably the best meat eater in the world. Trying to change the name from Tweeting to Gregging. Recommended by 4 out of 5 people that recommend things. I’m here to avoid friends on Facebook.
