There are two things that bother me about incandescent light bulbs. They not only use a lot of energy but also tend to burn out rapidly and often. Our outside front lights are a perfect example of the latter. It felt as if I was replacing those incandescent light bulbs every few weeks. It was definitely time to make a change to LED.
Having done my research, I selected Philips Classic Glass LED light bulbs. I love the design that looks like a traditional bulb, rather than something out of a science fiction movie installed in your beautiful light fixtures.
These are not only multi-purpose LED light bulbs but also have been specifically designed with certain household tasks and activities in mind.
For example, the Daylight bulbs are perfect for office spaces, basements, bathrooms and laundry rooms because they mimic natural light and can help you feel more energized. This is helpful when doing homework or other tasks that require more concentration. The Soft White bulbs are designed to give off the right light shade for bedrooms and kitchens, and help with your everyday tasks in those rooms.
Switching to LED light bulbs will also significantly decrease your energy usage. A standard bulb energy cost can run between $7.00 – $8.00, while the Philips LED light bulbs are estimated at $0.84 per bulb. Add up the number of incandescent bulbs you are currently using, and you can see how much you can save with LEDs.
Another huge advantage is the estimated life of the Philips Classic Glass LEDs. Estimated to last 13.7 years, the light bulbs should last quite awhile before I am stumbling around in the dark trying to replace them.
As you can see in the photo above, the Philips Classic Glass LED light bulbs produce superior light quality.
The Philips Classic Glass LED light bulbs are available at Home Depot for $9.97/4 pack from these links: [Philips Classic Glass LED light bulb – Daylight version] [Philips Classic Glass LED light bulb – Soft White version].
