Pulitzer-winning photographer, Vincent Laforet, has flown to 10,800 feet to capture these stunning aerial photographs of Las Vegas. Titled “Sin City 10.8K,” Leforet used cameras that were only recently developed to process the low light levels available at such an altitude at night.
While his pilot was on oxygen, Laforet stepped out onto the skids of the helicopter to capture these images. In his words, Vegas is “an ‘Island of Light’ in the middle of nothingness.”
From such an altitude the street grid looks like computer circuits and you can almost feel the energy humming through the city.
