It may look like a regular shed from the outside but as the old saying goes – don’t judge a book by its cover.
An entrepreneur from Bedfordshire, UK has transformed his garden shed into a stunning home cinema complete with plush seats, a candy counter and an array of video-game consoles.
Ashley Yeates turned his modest looking shed over the course of two months into any movie lover’s dream come true.
The home cinema features seven theater-style seats, a massive 94-inch size screen, a 3D projector as well as Dolby 5.1 surround sound and an underfloor sub woofer.
And when it comes to date-night, the lights can be dimmed and the ceiling glitters with dozens of tiny bulbs to create a magical effect.
Yeates, 32, also decked the home cinema out with red-theater style curtains and framed posters of iconic movies.
Yeates said: “It’s an incredibly immersive experience, especially for video gaming – I think that having a completely separate space really helps to take you away for a moment. If it was just another room of the house, I don’t think the effect would be quite as powerful. Additionally, because everything is heavily soundproofed and the walls are around six-inches thick from plasterboard to cladding, you can have the volume turned right up but it’s silent once you’re a few meters away from the building – it’s great to be able to enjoy it fully without impacting on anyone else.”
Yeates’ business The Torii Cinema Company offers movie lovers the chance to have their very own custom made home cinemas.
