The Equus Bass 770 is a $250,000 Modern Muscle Car

The Equus Bass 770 from Equus Automotive is just the thing to help you shake the Monday blues. The design of the car pays tribute to the classic American muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’S with a distinct Mustang Fastback shape and a hint of the Camaro in the front.

The Equus Bass 770 might look old school but it is as modern as they come. The car has an aluminum chassis while its body is made from aluminum lined with carbon fiber. This gives the car a curb weight of 3,640 pounds.

The Equus Bass 770 has a handcrafted 6.2L supercharged aluminum V8 engine which produces 640 horsepower. Performance figures are 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds and a more than impressive top speed of 200mph. The car has a rear-mounted manual six-speed, dual-clutch gearbox which will allow you to act out your Gone in Sixty Seconds fantasies.

The Equus Bass 770 also gets Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Performance Traction Management, Active Handling System, traction control and variable-ratio power steering which usually means it will be able to handle corners unlike other classic cars.

Now before you start reaching for your check book it will be prudent at this point to tell you that the Equus Bass 770 is not cheap. The standard car will set you back $250,000 and you can also order a custom version. So if you win the lottery this week, at least you now have another car to put in your garage.
