LIFE UPDATE For the first time in a LONG time, the beginning of September does not mean the start of a new school year for me…and it feels weird, but great at the same time! I had an initial period of, “Now what?” after graduation, but have been loving exploring all that’s out there. I decided to hold off on a corporate job or grad school, and have been pursuing my love for the camera since then. I am modeling, content creating, acting, hosting, but most of all, going with the flow and letting the Universe do its thing. What surprises me most is seeing how much I am learning about business and marketing (the subject I got my degree in) in this unusual setting, but also about myself. I always heard your twenties are a time of exploration and growth, and I am here for it 🙌🏽

I’ve always had a thing for being unconventional and not following the crowd. My friends would make fun of me for it, but I prefer it this way. Not following the crowd involves thinking independently and asking yourself, “Why?” It means putting aside what “everyone says/does” and considering things from a new, fresh perspective. Going against the crowd sometimes means jumping into the unknown with nothing but your inner voice guiding you in finding the way. It can be scary, confusing, frustrating, and lonely at times. You will encounter people who question you, doubt you, misunderstand you, or “look at you weird,” but who cares what they think? There’s a beauty in paving your own path; it is the only way to find yourself in places no one has ever been in before.

Timing is everything. If it’s meant to happen it will, at the right time for the right reason. ••••••• I am a big believer that everything happens for a reason, from the people you meet to the things that happen to you. As contradictory as it may seem, I also believe that we have the power to influence what happens to us. It’s up to us to make a decision or set a goal and do the best we can to follow through with it. If despite of all that, things don’t work out, perhaps it wasn’t meant to be. That just means that something even better is in store.

Apna Time Aayega (Our Time Will Come) ••••••• Just watched Gully Boy and the amount of inspiration I feel is on a completely different level 🙌🏽 I don’t verbalize this much, but I have some very big dreams for myself…to the point that they sometimes seem unreachable. However, I also believe that if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough. Movies with messages are my favorite and today, Gully Boy was exactly what I needed 💛

Looking at the Universe like, “You sure you got me?” 😂 ••••••••• Lately, I’ve been getting back into the Law of Attraction and visualization. The basic idea is that sending good vibes out into the Universe will put you on a “higher frequency” and help your visions turn into reality. I created a vision board not too long ago with images of things I hope to work towards and accomplish in the upcoming years; however, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have the occasional moments of doubt. When will these things happen? How can I make this happen? WILL this even happen? ••••••••• In those moments, I like to remind myself of a quote by Martin Luther King Jr., “Faith is taking the first step, even when you can’t see the whole staircase.” Here’s to faith, but also hoping the Universe sends me a flashlight so I can sort of see the staircase. 🤞🏽😉
